Temperate Forests
If you were to walk all the way from Northern Canada to the southern tip of South America, you would notice quite a dramatic shift in the environment along the way. From the cold, barren territory you would travel to a scene of leafy bright green forests inhabited by moose, deer and wolves. Every year, the forests of eastern North America blaze with color as the leaves begin to die at the start of autumn. This spectacular display is a major indication that Temperate Forests are season dominated biomes. Of course, America is not the only area to host this biome. Chile, Japan and Australia are just a few more of many. To learn more about the Temperate Forest Biome, please click the tabs on the left hand side of this page.
